There is a popular phrase right now called political correctness that gives the type of happiness that leads to disappointment.
Suppose there is a huge bear standing behind a friend. We see the bear but the friend does not. The friend is having a good time and enjoying other things. Do we tell the friend there is a bear or do we allow the friend to continue enjoying the moment to not spoil the fun. To spoil the fun with such news would turn the friend’s laughter into fear but it would give him an opportunity to avoid being eaten. Otherwise the happiness would come to a tragic end very soon.
It is the same with politicians, preachers and companies that tell people what they want to hear. The truth is the only thing that will give an opportunity to make changes to avoid consequences. There is freedom in the truth that creates wise choices. It is not worth the price to trade eternal joy for temporary earthly happiness. Jesus saves. Spread His Word. Their response is God’s responsibility.
Psalm 25:4-6
Show me Your ways, Lord, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long. Remember, Lord, Your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.
