No matter what our background, what we have done, what our personalities or habits He loves us enough to die for us. We are forgiven and we are loved.
John 3:16
For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
Psalm 71:23
I will shout for joy and sing Your praises, for You have ransomed me.

Salvation

Jesus gives second chances over and over.  He gently shows us when we are headed in a wrong direction so we can again be pleasing to Him.  In Peter’s case, Jesus used the reminder of a simple rooster crow.  Afterwards Peter was instrumental in spreading the Gospel to numerous people who accepted Christ as their Savior

Luke 22:61

At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”

Lamentations 3:23

Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.

We live in a world full of disappointments. People will let us down with promises never fulfilled. Others are promoted instead of you when you earned it. Sometimes students get a failing mark on a test in school when they studied hard. A young person wants to marry someone and discovers there are others in the equation. The list goes on and on. Many times these discouragements make us feel we don’t quite tow the mark, but that’s not true.
We are a masterpiece created by God. He loves us so much that He created us in His Own Image. Genesis 1:26
Then God said, “Let Us make human beings in Our image, to be like Us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”
