When a person is truly sincere with God, He will do a work that cannot be comprehended. Humans are very limited and God understands that. When serving God if we lift a finger He gives a hand. When we take a step He walks a mile. When we are totally at a loss for words or actions He will work out the whole thing. We never have to worry how God will bring it to about. His love accomplishes all things.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.

Life has many challenges and disappointments. As we walk through these times, the most comfort a person can give is prayer and understanding. Sometimes we can approach a boss or another higher ranking person in our lives with a situation that needs to be resolved. It will be resolved but no prayer is offered and very little understanding is given. It is just a human fix to a situation on the surface.
We can phone a friend and get comfort for the moment through gossip or belittling others involved in the problem. However once the phone conversation is over the situation still remains.
There are people who will say, “yea, I hear you” or “I know what you mean” but it comes from the mind and not the heart.
There is nothing more peaceful and comforting than to express a deep hurt with someone who has shed many tears and experienced heart breaking times in their life. Knowing that person truly understands and cares what we walk through offers healing from their heart to ours. It is the type of healing only God can offer through a person who is spiritually prepared by their own experiences.
As we walk through these trials and sorrows there is comfort in knowing God can use these to help others.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

It is impossible to fully understand God’s ways. He grants additional understanding through the reading of His Word. Even then, our understanding doesn’t tip the scales to God’s knowledge of all things. When it comes to remaining in God’s perfect will for our lives on earth and come to a fork in the road, He grants us grace to choose the right path. God loans us His eyes to see what He wants us to see. He loans us His ears to hear His instructions.
When it comes to prayers and discouragement due to long periods of time to see results, He understands. His throne room is open at all times. His eyes and ears of understanding are freely loaned to us to give us a better knowledge of the things He is preparing. He loves us and understands us. His love is for keeps. Understanding His love for us opens the door for better understanding of His ways.
Ephesians 3:17-19
Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

There are obvious wrong doings and then there those things people do not even realize. Either way, sin is sin and no one is perfect. The times teens are so drawn to a relationship that their whole life is that other person, God is put on hold. All prayers are about making things work with that person which is not putting God first. Teen idols are fun but they certainly jeopardize God’s perfect order.
There are numerous examples that fit idols in life and being stubborn about giving them up. Musicians who are gifted many times will leave no room for another musician to participate. Job promotions sometimes are given to a few people based on personality and looks and deserving workers are left out. The list goes on and on. God loves all people and is willing to make things right with Him.
When we bring our shortcomings to His alter He will take what is wrong and substitute what is pleasing to Him. All people sin but all people can call on God to make things spotless.
Ezekiel 36:25-26
Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.

Things are never hopeless even when things in life seem to fall apart. Rejection letters from a college or job is no reflection on the person who has his trust in God. God has a better fit.
A lifetime friendship suddenly fails over a simple difference in view point and there is no earthly reason why that should have happened. God is revealing spiritual things that one or both people aren’t quite ready to face. It has nothing to do personally with either one. Things are just too difficult to face and seeing the friend is a reminder of a change that needs to be made.
Life is full of slaps in the face with results that are emotionally damaging. Sometime the emotional pain is beyond anything that can even be explained.
When human efforts to patch things up actually make things worse, it is still not bigger than God’s healing touch.
When dreams and hopes are shattered into so many pieces they cannot possibly be reassembled, God makes things brand new. To trust God with our broken pieces is to put our faith in God’s heavenly answer that we do not see. He will either mend it or create something very special.
Psalm 34:17-19
The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
