My Quiet Meditation

It Will Happen

It Will Happen

Only believe.  God honors faith in Him.  Dreams and hopes may get tossed by the winds of circumstances but that does not change God’s mind about answering our prayers.  Many years may pass by but God has not forgotten that we prayed.  Others may laugh or say forget it but God gives every reason to never give up.  Sometimes the answers come through a totally different avenue than the ones imagined but it will happen because He hears and answers prayers.  It’s exciting to know that the answer will exceed even the greatest expectation.

Matthew 21:21-23

Then Jesus told them, “Truly, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this Mount of Olives, ‘Move over into the ocean,’ and it will.  You can get anything—anything you ask for in prayer—if you believe.”

Sometimes when it seems we have to accept the worst, here comes a beautiful display of our Master’s hand.  All we can see and understand are human answers.  Therefore the things for which we trust God come wrapped in a package of love.  It may take a while but God’s package always arrives on time.

As we continue to pray and seek God, sometimes we are looking at all we know, which is the obvious.  It’s when we ask God and allow Him to answer in His Own way will things unfold in an unimaginable way.

Jeremiah 29:11 The Living Bible

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.  They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Until We Meet Again

Until We Meet Again

Nothing can separate us from the love of God.  Nothing can separate two people who truly love each other.  God is love and there is no stronger bond.  Not even death can separate us from love.

As we watch while the ship of a loved one sails over the horizon it’s not easy when we no longer see that person.  What we can no longer see, God sees in all its perfection.  Because Jesus rose from the dead we have blessed assurance we will do the same.

In Him there are no goodbyes, only until we meet again.

John 11:25

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

An authentic signature makes things legal.  It is said that we should be careful what we sign and read all the fine print first.  Signatures are binding.

Teachers will send home report cards to be signed by a parent.  This signature guarantees they are aware of the progress of their child.

An autograph from a famous person on a photo, football or even a slip of paper can be worth a lot depending on the accomplishments of that celebrity.

A signature on a document makes everything legal and guarantees that what is signed will actually happen.

The most valuable signature is the one God places on us.  His Holy Spirit is written on our hearts.  His signature guarantees us an eternity with Him filled with happiness, peace and joy.  His signature guarantees we have been bought and paid for in full by Jesus Christ.  His signature guarantees He will take care of us in all things.  We are official because our hearts are a signed document of love.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22

It is God who enables us, along with you, to stand firm for Christ. He has commissioned us, and He has identified us as His own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything He has promised us.

Which Way To Turn

In life there are many options presented yet only one is God’s perfect will.  When the road ahead has two paths that seem equally as good God is still directing our steps.  As we remain focused on Him and listen for His still voice where to place our foot for the next step, the path will become obvious.  God lights our path one step at a time and no further.

Occasionally there will be a sense of desperation to choose immediately and God never places these type urgencies on His people.   These urgencies to choose right away could very well mean that neither path is the one God would have us walk.  As we rest in God’s perfect assurance and submit to Him we will remain in a comfortable pattern of one step at a time, no matter what the road ahead looks like.  God is always on time and He keeps us safe.

Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
