God created all things for a divine purpose. When pondering great oceans, beautiful landscapes and even the talents of people, everything points to God. There are people who become focused on the beauty all around and slowly drift from the Creator. Others become focused on their own beauty which sometimes develops into a false insecurity of not measuring up to a standard.
God makes no mistakes. All people are created in His image for His Own purpose.
Keeping focused on the Creator and not so much the creation heals many emotions and gives a peace that passes all understanding.
All the beauty God created becomes even more beautiful when time is spent alone getting to know Him personally. God is much more than the things He created. He is Lord.
Isaiah 29:16
How foolish can you be? He is the Potter, and He is certainly greater than you, the clay! Should the created thing say of the one who made it, “He didn’t make me”? Does a jar ever say, “The potter who made me is stupid”?

When situations become out of control we can count on God Who is in control of all things. The best solutions come from God.
Many times people try to solve things every humanly way possible only to find that some things are totally out of the reach of human control.
The apostles faced an impossible situation while in a boat during a fierce storm. There was no way they could stop the storm and they were in trouble. They learned that God’s answer was much bigger than the storm. The answer was a heavenly answer where Jesus came to them on the water.
When we trust God in a situation that is impossible for us we can expect an answer that is greater than the impossibility we face. Even the apostles were afraid at first when Jesus appeared to them walking on the water. They were unable to put into human terms God’s heavenly answer. This will happen for us too. God wraps Himself in the unexpected so we can know His greatness and love.
Matthew 14:24-27
Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves. About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. When the disciples saw Him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost?”
But Jesus spoke to them and once. “Don’t be afraid,” He said. “Take courage. I am here:”

One of the toughest things in life that causes the most emotional pain is when a person you love no longer remembers your name. Your loved one sits in her usual chair and has the same smile on her face. She listens with a caring heart while you tell her about your day, yet her mind remembers very little. Though her mind struggles to communicate her heart knows.
The most important thing is we still know and remember her. Our usual visits still come on time to her because that’s what love is all about. Love is neither physical or emotional but acceptance of a person for where they are in live.
As we walk through different phases in our lives, Jesus never forgets to remain with us at all times and with the same loving acceptance of us. Growing in grace and learning to be more like Christ is to love another person unconditionally directing their focus to Christ Who never changes. People may change and they may forget but God does not. We can count on Him.
Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one Who is, Who always was, and Who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

There are many examples in the Bible that refer to Christ as our solid rock. On this earth there are rocks all around and they are not easily destroyed.
In the United States there is an entire mountain made of stone. It has been there for hundreds of years and no damage is ever done. It withstands harsh winters with snow and sleet and hot summers with heat. People visit that mountain every day and walk to the top. People stomp with their feet, cast small stones, kick, climb, run and even sit and it does no damage. The winds are strong at all times making it difficult to spend very long there yet the winds do not even phase the mountain that is all stone.
This is an earthly example of the strength of rock. Jesus Christ, our Rock of Salvation, cannot be moved. He stands true to His word. To have Jesus as our divine protector is to have all we need in all things.
2 Samuel 22:31-33
God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God is my strong fortress and He makes my way perfect.

No matter how dark the room, one simple candle will shed light on the entire area. With Jesus, Who is the Light of the world, there is no darkness once He is accepted into a person’s life.
People walk through many moments of darkness but the love of Jesus Christ and His light has overcome all darknesses.
John 1:5
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
