Isn’t is awful to be on a trip and out of gas only to come to gas station that is closed? Sometimes a gas station will have a pump out of order or a long wait. It is impossible to reach a destination without enough gas to last the full length of the trip.
What about spiritually? Is there enough peace, understanding and fulfillment to make it through life’s roadblocks? Time spent in prayer and meditation on the word of God gives a refill each time. What if much time was spent alone with God and the Bible was read daily? Having a full tank of spiritual gas at all times is the best defense against life’s biggest offenses.
Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

In walking through a waiting area filled with people who had things on their hearts several people were told about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. One man had a joke to add to everything that was said wanting laughter from his friend. A group of four listened and one accepted prayer for her situation. A lady sitting alone obviously troubled stated she was atheist and did not wish to hear the truth. Three separate men seemed relieved that somebody took the time to invite them to church. One lady listened and invited Jesus into her heart. While one person was lost but then found there were nine more who heard the truth. Whether a person reaps or sews the results are God’s. Whether a person accepts the truth or rejects it is between that person and God. God takes all rejection upon Himself and all praise goes to God. The greatest command from God is to bring the good news.
Luke 15:8-10
“Or take another illustration: A woman has ten valuable silver coins and loses one. Won’t she light a lamp and look in every corner of the house and sweep every nook and cranny until she finds it? And then won’t she call in her friends and neighbors to rejoice with her? In the same way there is joy in the presence of the angels of God when one sinner repents.

In the palm of God’s hand He holds the whole world. As we lift our concerns to Him He cups His hand around us for protection.
As He folds His fingers above His cupped hand we can know He has all details worked out. His first finger points us in the direction of where we are to take out next step. His middle finger reaches the furtherest with no limitations on how many times He will reach out to us in love. His ring finger is closest to His heart. His life blood has all things covered and all that concerns us concerns Him more. His small finger holds all the find details. It is the weakest finger but the one with the most feeling when broken. His thumb is placed on top of the cupped hand and all the fingers that secure that which is in His palm for that added seal of protection. We are surrounded by God’s love. Nothing can escape God’s love for us.
1 Peter 5:6
If you will humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, in His good time he will lift you up.

Let your voice be heard. Let your praise ring out. Jesus saves and He is worthy to be praised. There is nowhere in the Bible that says each note has to be perfect. God created your voice to use to praise Him. You need no microphone, perfect pitch or a loud voice. God gave His voice to you to sing praises back to Him. He hears you whether you praise alone or softly in a crowd. He inhabits the praises of His people. Jesus is Lord.
Psalm 98:5-7
Sing your praise accompanied by music from the harp. Let the cornets and trumpets shout! Make a joyful symphony before the Lord, the King! Let the sea in all its vastness roar with praise! Let the earth and all those living on it shout, “Glory to the Lord.

Jesus is Lord in all things. A person may choose to not believe but that does not make our Lord go away. Jesus is here to save the lost, love unconditionally and do for us what we cannot do for ourselves if we only trust.
Life consists of many blessings, rewards and encouragements. Life also consists of hardships, disappointments and challenges above and beyond what any human can handle. The most important thing is how we represent God in all things. God finds us worthy to be called but are we worthy of the calling? Our gauge is how we display our love for God in the best or worst circumstances.
Ephesians 4:1-3
I beg you—I, a prisoner here in jail for serving the Lord—to live and act in a way worthy of those who have been chosen for such wonderful blessings as these. Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Try always to be led along together by the Holy Spirit and so be at peace with one another.
