When we cry to our Lord for help in times of adversity He hears and delivers us. It may seem that our cries have not been heard but we do not know what actions are being taken in heaven. When we call to God He stops to listen. Many times the sounds of silence is a loving listening ear from our Heavenly Father Who cares for us. He allows us to talk, cry, complain and pour out all honesty to Him. Even when we are through talking He still listens to the cries from our heart which goes unnoticed.
He is near to us at all times never taking His eyes off of us. He is always on time with His answers. We can trust that in His proper timing He will save and deliver us from evil.
Psalm 34:17-18 New American Standard Bible
The righteous cry, and the Lord hears And delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

What God did for others He will do for us. As far back as Adam and Eve He loves us all. Most of us have never considered that our Lord sings to us. He longs to hear from us in prayer.
Imagine being in the presence of someone we care about and that person never acknowledges us. God’s presence is with us at all times. He never leaves us and He never forsakes us.
His glorious attention to us is available every single day and night. All we need to do is acknowledge Him. He loves each of us unconditionally and He commands that we love one another. It is for this reason that everybody is somebody special.
As we ponder the events going on in the world today it makes no sense that people turn against people in hatred especially when each of us is made with the finest details of God’s love. When the love of God is removed hatred takes over. If each person considered other people as beautiful creations hand made by God imagine the peace that will take over. We are loved.
Zephaniah 3:17 Living Bible
For the Lord your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will give you victory. He will rejoice over you with great gladness; He will love you and not accuse you. Is that a joyous choir I hear? No, it is the Lord Himself exulting over you in happy song.

A teenager may think we are uncool to not allow them to attend certain parties or concerts. They may lash out at us or gang up on us along with their friends as a result of our telling them no. It offends them and it offends us knowing we have offended them. This type of correction hurts us all but we have actually defended them from a situation that opens up temptations that have lasting consequences.
These days temptations are at an all time high world wide. What’s wrong seems to be the new right and if wrong is challenged things can become out of control. Many will give way to what is wrong to get a temporary reprieve from the mobs. Some people will avoid going to church anymore for fear of offending the mobs. It takes divine courage to stand for what is right in any situation.
When we do the right thing in the presence of evil doers it’s like turning the light on and catching them with their pants down. Evil loves darkness and will do everything possible to keep good from shining through. It’s a conviction to them and convictions are offensive. Yes, convictions are offensive. It sheds light on what is wrong and evil hates it.
Unfortunately too many of us do not want to stir up the mob with the truth and some will lower the standards of their morals just to keep peace. What peace? This type peace only gives comfort while hell licks its chops. It is to their favor that we continue to uphold the values of the Bible and God’s word. God never changes and His rewards and punishments remain the same. Jesus even refers to hell as so intense that it’s better to lose an eye or hand to get into heaven than to be in hell with both. In today’s terms, it’s better to be offended and given an opportunity to change patterns and accept Christ than to feel good for the moments of this lifetime.
It is time for God’s people to stand up, not to intend to offend but to defend people in what is right. People will be offended when the light is turned on but if they are lead to eternal life in Jesus Christ the offense will be their biggest defense. Jesus saves. The mob is hungry for Christ. Now is the time to pray for their hunger to lead them to search for Christ so they can be saved.
2 Corinthians 7:8-9 Living Bible
I am no longer sorry that I sent that letter to you, though I was very sorry for a time, realizing how painful it would be to you. But it hurt you only for a little while. Now I am glad I sent it, not because it hurt you but because the pain turned you to God. It was a good kind of sorrow you felt, the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have, so that I need not come to you with harshness.

There is power in an army. There is power in storms. There is power in ocean waves. There is power in running horses. There is power in large machines.
There is power that encompasses all powers combined. The prayer of one righteous person gains much. Prayer opens the floodgates of heaven for God to overcome it all. There is no prayer to big or too small. All are invited to pray any time.
Ephesians 6:18 Living Bible
Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit’s wishes. Plead with Him, reminding Him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere.

God is continually growing us into His likeness as we trust Him more. Growth is not pain and obstacle free, instead it’s totally the opposite. The greatest lessons in life are ones learned by making mistakes.
There are other hardships we walk through that grow us closer to God. We don’t understand why some people get healed and others do not. Some people walk through times of grief and loneliness after losing a family member in war or sickness while others never face these times. During times we do not understand, God fully understands and we are faced with placing our trust in the unknown.
The word of God is true. It never changes. It is for that reason alone we can count on God’s answers to be the same for every person. He grants us grace to endure all things placed before us. The more we rely on the word and truth of God the more He is involved in all situations.
We can ask for anything in His name and He hears us and answers us however His answer may be different than what we hope. When His answer is one we do not understand He welcomes us to ask for additional grace. As we put more trust in Him the more He shows us His ways and timings. His ways are perfect and our understanding is not a requirement to receive more of His grace and perfect peace.
2 Corinthians 12:8-9
Three different times I begged God to make me well again. Each time He said, “No. But I am with you; that is all you need. My power shows up best in weak people.” Now I am glad to boast about how weak I am; I am glad to be a living demonstration of Christ’s power, instead of showing off my own power and abilities.
