The times teens are so drawn to a relationship that their whole life is that other person, God is put on hold. All prayers are about making things work with that person which is not putting God first. Teen idols are fun but they certainly jeopardize God’s perfect order.
There are numerous examples that fit idols in life and being stubborn about giving them up. Musicians who are gifted many times will leave no room for another musician to participate.
