High Service

It seems to be beneath some people to mop up or to do a favor for one less fortunate.  What a shame to have that type of attitude.

In large corporations it happens frequently where people trample over other people to get to the top.  What is top?  Does it mean to have a private office with a name on the door?  Does it mean to never have to pitch in and help others who are behind in their work?  Does it mean more money?  Does it mean never having to speak to those in positions of service?

God’s greatest commandments are to love God first then others.  Sometimes being at the top means to forfeit participating in the things that bring God the most glory.

Before snubbing the floor sweeper or dishwasher remember one thing.  It was a Carpenter Who saved the world.

Matthew 23:11-12

The more lowly your service to others, the greater you are. To be the greatest, be a servant. But those who think themselves great shall be disappointed and humbled; and those who humble themselves shall be exalted.
