It is one of the highest honors to be selected to run the torch just before the olympic games start. People line the streets just to watch a runner go by with the torch held high. He runs with great pride and when he reaches the next runner the torch is passed on. On and on it goes until the final runner brings the high held torch to the grand display to be lit.
Most people do not get selected to carry an olympic torch. However there is the greatest torch we have been chosen to pass on. When we spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the next available person, we have carried the greatest light. If the person we pass the light to chooses not to hear, they will still see by our actions that Jesus is all about love. There are no limits on how many people we can pass the light of love to. Let it be known in all the world that Jesus saves.
Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
