When we walk through hours of darkness in our lives there are times when the despair becomes unbearable. The devil is always on the prowl and he is continually asking for permission from God before sending his imps into our lives. It is for this reason God does not allow us to walk through anything that He is not already prepared to either handle for us or walk with us as we handle things together. Either way God chooses to intervene will stretch our faith which is the one thing that pleases Him greatly.
As we walk through times where the devastation leaves us speechless we are to take the side of righteousness. How do we conduct our attitudes toward others during these days? Do we display the love of our Savior? When we cannot see through the fog what’s happening or we do not have even the slightest hint of which way to turn we look to the things unseen where God has total control.
As we focus on the truth and place our trust in God’s hand things will begin to unfold. He will comfort us. He will heal us. He will see to it the weapons aimed at us will not harm us.
As we walk through grief He holds our hand. As we stumble over a wrong decision he pulls us up by the hand. As we watch a loved one walk through addictions or abusive situations He lifts us all up and carries us on His shoulders.
As we wait upon our Lord it’s important to always have our attitudes to favor the side of righteousness. God will honor such faith.
2 Corinthians 4:18 Living Bible
So we do not look at what we can see right now, the troubles all around us, but we look forward to the joys in heaven which we have not yet seen. The troubles will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.
