Forfeit Is Not Always A Penalty

In the game of life it is a constant battle between what is right and what is wrong.  The devil is always looking for an open person to throw his football of temptation to.  In this particular game it’s best to fumble, run the other way to get off the field.  The devil’s temptation is one touch down we do not want on our record.  The applause may be great among men but the attention quickly dies when the punishment comes.

When temptation is thrown at us there is no penalty to forfeit the game.  The winning points will happen later.  God will see to it.

James 1:13-17

And remember, when someone wants to do wrong it is never God who is tempting him, for God never wants to do wrong and never tempts anyone else to do it.  Temptation is the pull of man’s own evil thoughts and wishes. These evil thoughts lead to evil actions and afterwards to the death penalty from God. So don’t be misled, dear brothers.  But whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and He shines forever without change or shadow.
