It’s during the times we do not understand what’s happening that we can rely on God’s understanding.  We know one thing for sure and that is God is always true to His word.  As we trust Him more and more He will keep revealing steps in life to take, one step at a time. 

Many times the steps to take are not what we have in mind.  We pray for an open door and somehow that is the door that slams in our face.  However, it is the love of Jesus Christ that keeps us on His path of righteousness and it is for His namesake and not necessarily our desire.  Psalm 23:3 says, He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

It is true that when we put Christ first in all things and remain true to Him He will direct our paths.  It is in Him that we find safety and comfort as we continue to walk with Him through life.  He will grant the desires of our hearts in His timing and His way and it will be greater than our biggest imagination.

James 3:17-18  New Living Translation

But the wisdom from above is first of all pure.  It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others.  It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds.  It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.   And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
