Love Is Free, Pass It On

Love is when a little league baseball team purposely misses the ball in order to allow a child with disabilities to score a run.  A few moments of recognition for winning a game is traded for a smile on a child’s face that will last him a lifetime.

Love is when the church soloist who sings every week and sometimes twice will give up a solo to allow a group of musicians to present their talent.  The one presentation becomes a reward to that group they will always remember.

Love is when the boss has to choose between two people to let go.  The more experienced person will volunteer to leave.  The person who stays on the job is the lady who is caring for seriously ill family members and couldn’t get by otherwise.

This is the type of love that brings recognition to God.  This is the type of love God can multiply and send back to us.

Luke 6:38

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
