Many Ways To Praise God

by | Jul 9, 2018 | Encouragement | 0 comments

We give praise and thanksgiving to God when the doctor approaches us after a lengthy operation on a loved one to tell us things are a success.

We give praise and thanksgiving to God when we see rescuers pull miners from a cave in and all people are in good condition.

We give praise and thanksgiving to God when a teacher passes out test papers and we find a high score.

We give praise and thanksgiving to God when we are granted an interview or promotion.

Do we still praise and thank God during the wait or when the results are different from what we expect?

Do we praise and thank God when we sit in a hospice room of a loved one knowing God will be taking their hand soon?

Do we praise and thank God when our school test paper is less than a C?

Do we praise and thank God when another person is awarded an interview or promotion?

When we see God’s mighty hand at work and the results are beautiful beyond words it’s easy to praise and thank God.  When things seem to blow up in our faces we give a more serious and trusting thanksgiving to God because we know He will reveal His hand to us in due time.

God has all wisdom and all power.  Our eternity is in heaven where all things fit and all packages of blessings are opened with much excitement.  All the things we want to ask God here are things we will instantly know when heaven opens up to us.

When we don’t understand and our hearts are breaking we look to the Most High God Who does not require our understanding but our trust.

While we do not stand up and cheer when the going gets rough it’s the right thing to do to pray with a trusting expectation that God is Lord of all things.  Prayer offered in trust and faith is praising and thanking God in an intimate way.  Praise comes in many forms and many attitudes but in all things God is worthy of praise and thanksgiving.

Daniel 2:20  Living Bible

Blessed be the Name of God forever and ever, for He alone has all wisdom and all power.
