When people live to please the world and gain popularity things will not be fair. The devil is always at work blinding people with the luxuries and pleasures that come from chasing after earthly desires. The results are heart breaking. Marriages fall apart because of the excitement of sneaking around without the spouse knowing about it. It’s almost like a game winning trophy to not be caught.
People develop numerous types of diseases by over eating the kinds of things that give temporary gratification but not fulfilling the needs of the body from healthy foods.
Getting into drugs and other addictive substances create a craving for more. Every one of these temptations not only come with a consequence for the person entertaining them but it also makes some to want to lure others into the same thing. It’s like a sign of prestige for them to want to bring another person down. Home invasions, shooting rampages and overpowering people for sex happens when people can’t get enough. All these things could easily be avoided by not following the ways and excitements of the world.
What about innocent people who are brought into such temptation by others who didn’t resist? These innocent people trusted their friends who lead them down a path of destruction. What about the innocent people who are harmed or killed because of the addictive habits of others who entertain temptation? The physical harm is bad enough but what about the damaged emotions that may never heal? Many innocent people are paying a very big price. Trust is gone. Fear is a very strong obstacle. Self worth is dashed. To add to the pain a lot of times the offenders are let out of jail early or never caught or dealt with. When justice is not served it creates an even deeper distrust for all things.
People pray and trust God and still no justice. Many wonder why bad things happen to good people. It could very well be that God wants to heal the innocent more than to eliminate the situation.
God, Who created something from nothing can surely make a painful something a nothing. God’s ways are greater than our ways and He always has a beautiful plan we may not see. Healing in these type situations take a long time. Jesus still forgives. Sometimes forgiving these people can be painful but God is the ultimate healer of all things.
As we turn this over to God it’s like peeling one more layer off the onion and yes there are tears. Once we reach the point where we can give our permission to God to delay or not grant justice is when we can truly heal. To allow God to say no is to allow Him to do His greatest work in us. The situation will also be in God’s hands and He never lets such sin go unpunished. God knows all things and true justice comes from Him and in His perfect timing.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
