When We Think Nobody Cares

by | Feb 24, 2017 | Hope | 0 comments

These days people sweep a lot of things under the rug so to speak.  A person can present himself as being a model citizen.  Nobody has an unkind word to say about him.  He is all smiles and will be an encouragement to many.  What people do not know is he has one person in his life he singles out to abuse.  It could be a wife, employee, church member or even a child.  He will say all kinds of abusive things, belittling that person to the point where the person has no self worth.  From there it gets worse for that person.  She/he has no recourse.  Who would believe the abuse he makes toward her/him since everyone likes him and brags on him.

This type situation is horrible and that’s a kind word for it.  There are probably psychological reasons such a desired citizen would single out one person to abuse.  Chances are there are even more psychological reasons why he chooses that particular person.

These things happen worldwide also.  Multitudes of people praise officials for the good job they are doing for their people yet the whole time they are plotting their demise.  People vote in good faith that promises will be kept and even when they are not kept people are still mesmerized by their charisma.  They know how to fool people with words of glamor yet behind the backs of the very ones they represent just the opposite is happening.  Nobody can convince people of things going on because multitudes have been fooled by charm and they are quick to lash out if anything is said to the contrary even if it’s true.

These situations are desperate to the ones being harmed by smokescreens of lies.  How do victims of this type of silent hurt get helped?

God’s word is the same today as it has always been.  His sheep know His voice and He knows the voice of His sheep.  The silent cries of ones abused while nobody else is even aware are a priority to God.  Many times the help is so gradual it goes unnoticed by the one crying out because He is dealing with these people from the inside out.  He will take every tear and every plea and prepare something beautiful.  He will comfort.  He will understand.  He will listen.  He will protect.  However, the ones who parade a charisma for a large audience while hurting someone behind the scenes will suddenly come to ruin.

Hebrews 4:12-13  New Living Translation

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.   Nothing in all creation is hidden from God.  Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the  One to Whom we are accountable.
