Wavering Faith

Sometimes our most critical prayer requests are the ones that take the longest to receive an answer from God. It’s during those long waits, when God seems so silent, that our endurance and faith grow. It takes longer for answers to come when He has many details to work out and wills of other people are involved. Even Peter, who walked with God, lost focus at times. It is encouraging to know that when we are struggling in faith He will reach out and lift us up.
Matthew 14:28-31
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” He said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
