When We Don’t Understand Sorrow

To learn more about God and Who He really is, will enable us to know more about why things sometime happen the way they do.

During the times when we miss someone deeply and the tears of emptiness don’t stop, God understands.  The next embrace with the person we love so dearly will be in heaven yet the grief here on earth can be overwhelming.

God has a plan so beautiful He cannot put it into human words because we will not understand.  As we grow into His likeness by learning to know Him, we can understand a little better.

There are times situations are so intense that praying the right words just do not happen.  Others can pray with us even though they can never fully understand our feelings because no two situations are identical.  A person can walk with us through certain things and it grants peace because two or more are standing together.  The best prayer is one that comes from Jesus Himself.  As He stands before God as our intercessor, He also lives in us making it possible for Him to actually experience our sorrows and joys.

When the words in prayer just do not happen, Jesus will make the words happen for us.  Jesus invites us to pray about all things.  He invites us to even ask Him to pray for us.  Jesus, Who truly understands can offer a prayer that is pleasing to God, Who will send the perfect answer.

Luke 22:31-32a

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat.  But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail.
