Our Richest Gain

There are many comparisons we make in life.  While some look at others thinking they have more, others are looking at us thinking we have more.  Unfortunately these comparisons are about material things or perceived beauty.

There are countries where people flock looking for better opportunities or luxurious lifestyles leaving behind family and friends.  Again, these lifestyles are about ease and gain of wealth.

When we compare heart to heart the richest and most beautiful people are the ones who love from within.  The ones who have done without riches and luxuries are the ones who appreciate the finer details in life such as love and friendships on a deep level.  These are the richest people because they share what they have.

It’s no comparison when there aren’t enough churches for people to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ while other places are closing church doors because so many prefer the luxurious material things.  The richest people are the ones who appreciate from the heart.

Matthew 16:26  New Living Translation

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?  Is anything worth more than your soul?
